What Is a Bulb Syringe?

How Does a Bulb Syringe Work?
Using a bulb syringe is a relatively simple procedure. First, the user will need to squeeze the bulb until it collapses. With the bulb still squeezed, place the syringe inside the blocked nostril or inside the cheek of the baby and then release the bulb. The suction generated by the bulb will draw up formula and mucus into the tube of the syringe. You can then take the syringe out of the baby's nose or mouth, squeeze the bulb again to squirt out the mucus or fluid into a tissue or other receptacle, and then repeat the process as needed.
