What Is an IV Fluid Bag?
An IV fluid bag, also simply known as an IV bag or IV, is a bag or container used for storing fluids that are used in infusion therapy and intravenous delivery. These bags are a key part of any IV set-up and are used in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare centers worldwide on a daily basis.

How Does an IV Fluid Bag Work?
The way in which IV fluid bags work is very simple. First, the bag will need to be filled up with the required fluid, which could be dextrose solution, saline, or something different. Before use, the bag is primed and spiked by a nurse. It will need to be connected to a catheter or IV line, which will be fed into the patient’s body via a skin port or with the aid of a needle.
