How Does a Butterfly Infusion Set Work?
In order to use a butterfly infusion set, an infusion site will first need to be selected. This is usually somewhere in the forearm. The site will first be cleaned, and then the nurse or doctor will carefully hold onto the wings of the butterfly infusion set in order to guide the needle into a precise position.
