What Is a Palindrome Catheter?

How Does a Palindrome Catheter Work?
A Palindrome catheter is used during hemodialysis and requires the presence of a dialysis machine. First an area of insertion in the patient’s body will need to be identified and numbed with the aid of anesthetic. The catheter can then be inserted, usually into a major blood vessel, and connected to the machine. Blood will flow out of the body via the arterial lumen and back into the body through the venous lumen.
