CIA Medical is passionate about giving back to our community. One of the great privileges of growing as a company is being able to support causes that matter to us. The two main initiatives that we currently have are face mask donations to first responders and our annual scholarship program. We focus on supporting front line workers and post-secondary students because these are areas that we feel we can have a great positive impact.
We are always thinking of new ways to support those in need and have plans to expand our donation programs nationwide in the near future. It gives us an overwhelming sense of joy to be able to help others and directly or indirectly contribute to better patient outcomes. A percentage of our medical supplies each year has been set aside for donations. If you or your organization share the same values as CIA Medical and would like to explore opportunities to receive a donation, or partner with us in giving back to our community, please contact us.
Donating Face masks to VETERANS AND first responders
Our mask donation program is designed to support wounded warriors nationwide and the heroic first responders in our community by providing much-needed facemasks during the Covid-19 crisis. We are proud to support the VA system with the personal protective equipment needed to keep their staff safe. In connecting with emergency workers in our community, we are learning more about the incredible challenges that the police and fire departments face on a day to day basis.
In the spring of 2020, for many organizations, it was difficult to procure much-needed face masks. We elected to donate masks in person to the people at the front line protecting us and serving our community. In giving to first responders, we’re helping ensure the safety of the civilians they interact with. We heard from them that wearing masks instilled more trust and respect from the people they came into contact with. It is an incredible honor to support those in our community who are dedicated to ensuring our safety in the Chicagoland and Northwest suburbs.

CIA Medical donated over 50 infrared touchless forehead thermometers, and dozens of cases of instant hand sanitizer packets to Holyoke Health Center, a community focused facility that strives to improve the health of their patients through affordable, quality healthcare and community-based programs.
“We are extremely grateful for the large donation of hand sanitizer packets and the infrared thermometers. We are actively donating the hand sanitizers to our patients that come into our building for Medical, Dental or Pharmacy Services. We have a basket out front in which they are handed a few packets for their own personal use. We have also created small brown bags in which we are hadning out at our mobile vaccination clinics. Recently, we were on the news as we have partnered with Tufts Health Plan to take the bus into underservered areas of Holyoke and Chicopee MA. At these clinics, we have a give away table, and residents of these areas are welcome to take a bag or bottle of hand sanitizer with them after their vaccination. As you can imagine the community was very grateful for the hand sanitizers as infection control is an important part of COVID prevention!
We are being a bit more directive when donating the infrared thermometers - we want to make assurances that they are going to patients that will utilize them and need them. We have been giving those out to many of our pediatric patients and patients with suspect infections that may not have access to a thermometer at home. These are being received with utmost appreciation - as we truly appreciate your donation on their behalf.
Thank you for giving us this opportunity, and we hope you keep us in mind in the future.”
— Marlo Connor, RN-BS, PMP, Chief Operating Officer, Holyoke Health Center

CIA Medical donated medical supplies to South Suburban PADS, a homeless shelter in Chicago Heights, IL.
“First, let me just say, thank you! Your recent ln-Kind donation means that you understand just how valuable providing shelter for someone experiencing homelessness is during this pandemic.
But let me tell you what our services at South Suburban PADS mean to some of the guests who stay at our hotel shelter.
- One guest was able to regulate his blood pressure and diabetes. "Living on the street, looking for food, caused me to pass out. After I met people at South Suburban PADS, I got into a hotel room and was able to get healthy again."
- Michael is now able to feed his 3 year old daughter three meals each day.
- Peace of mind. Dana said, "l finally got the first good night's rest l've had in months,"
- COVID-19 testing and vaccines. Angela recorded herself being vaccinated and sent the video to her family saying, "Look, now we can see each other and hug each other again!"

- Dignity and empowerment. "l feel like I am being treated like an equal. Being in the hotel has allowed me to eat, shower, and sleep every day, which has allowed me to take the next step towards housing", said lvory.
Although these victories may seem small to the average person, you know that they are not. That's why you gave, and why the families we serve are full of gratitude for your generosity. We love your support.”

CIA Medical donated medical supplies and devices to Aid for Women, a non-profit organization that helps thousands of women each year in the Chicago metropolitan area facing unexpected pregnancies.
“Please let me express to you my most sincere thanks for your generous donation. Your support is deeply appreciated and is invaluable in helping continue our mission of helping mothers facing unexpected or difficult pregnancies.
Twenty-year-old Miracle shares her story: "While looking for someplace to go to confirm my pregnancy and learn more about my options, I found Aid for Women and made an appointment at their pregnancy center. I was feeling nervous and scared, but my Client Advocate, Alane, made me feel safe and reassured me that everything would be OK 'Seeing my baby on the ultrasound convinced me that I wanted to move forward with the pregnancy. I became excited to learn more about my baby. Alane guided me in starting prenatal care and has been there for me since the beginning. It's been hard but having the right support has been very helpful. Reyna is now two months old, and I am looking forward to getting back on track with work and school. My hope is to provide my baby with a life full of love and happiness.'”
— Susan R. Barrett, Executive Director, Aid for Women
CIA Medical donated PPE and medical supplies to Planned Parenthood of Illinois, a nonprofit organization that provides sexual health care.
“'The health center staff went above and beyond to help me, and I really appreciated them taking time to answer all of my questions. This virus is no joke, and I am so grateful for PPIL and the extraordinary knowledge of the staff!' — Casey, Planned Parenthood of Illinois patient
Thank you for helping ensure patients like Casey have access to essential health care, especially during these challenging times. As a frontline public health provider, we know that our patients rely on Planned Parenthood of Illinois (PPIL) every day, and that the need for sexual and reproductive health care does not stop during a crisis.
We are grateful for Central Infusion Alliance's donation of personal protection equipment (PPE) and supplies. This valuable support protects the health of our most frontline workers, allowing them to safely deliver critical services to those who need it most. Together, we can rise to the challenge of this pandemic by ensuring our staff are well-equipped to provide the highest quality of care that our patients deserve.”

“I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the extremely thoughtful gesture of delivering PPE to the men and women of the Wheeling Police Department earlier this month. The necessity for our staff to be protected to serve our community is of the utmost importance. To be reminded that the people we serve appreciate our efforts invigorates us all to continue to be the best we can be especially during these trying times. Thank you for taking the time to let us know we are accomplishing our mission with your expression of gratitude.”
— James J. Dunne, Chief of Police, Wheeling Police Department
CIA Medical Scholarship: Honoring the Superheroes of healthcare
When we created an annual essay-based scholarship program in the spring of 2017, we wanted to not only help students fund their post-secondary educations, but to also unmask the unsung superheroes of healthcare – the doctors, nurses, physical therapists and others who strive every day to improve their patients’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
“With so many people focused on the cost of healthcare, we wanted to remind everyone that – at its heart – this industry is about people helping people,” said CIA Medical Managing Partner Charles Lewis. “So we asked each applicant to write a story of how a healthcare worker made a difference in their life or a loved one’s life. We weren’t sure what to expect, but when the essays began flooding in, they blew our minds. We were in tears while reading these essays.”
Each year, hundreds of students from diverse backgrounds across the country share intimate stories about compassionate and dedicated professionals who delivered not only great clinical care, but also helped them or their loved ones cope with physical pain, fear and emotional traumas.
In previous years, we have received stories of how a doctor performing surgeries for free in war torn Yemen became a pillar of hope in her community, how a civilian doctor saved the life of a daughter in a military family which caused him his job, to the smiling surgeon who “danced his way into the room” to reconstruct a young woman’s face.
We are committed to supporting the next generation of community leaders in their fields of study. Our annual scholarship is an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the positive outcomes that healthcare professionals have on their patients and their families.
