What Is an EVA IV Bag?
An EVA IV bag is one that is made from a particular material known as EVA. EVA stands for ethylene vinyl acetate. This is an elastomeric polymer with a lot of advantages and is favored in the medical world for use in IV bags.

How Does an EVA IV Bag Work?
EVA IV bags may arrive either empty or prefilled. If prefilled, they can be used right away. If empty, they’ll need to be filled up carefully with the appropriate solution. A nurse will usually spike and prime the IV bag to prepare it and connect it to a catheter line. The line can then be fed into the patient’s body with the aid of a needle or port, and the bag will be suspended from a stand. Once everything is in position, the fluids from the EVA IV bag can start to flow steadily along the catheter line into the patient’s body.
