What Is a Trocar Needle?
Trocars are small pieces of medical equipment that are almost shaped like pens, with a sharp point at one end, a hollow tube in the middle, and a seal or cap at the top. How Does a Trocar Needle Work?
The way in which trocars and trocar needles are used depends on the patient being treated and the procedure being carried out. Usually, an insertion site for the trocar needle will first need to be identified, and this site may need to be numbed with the aid of anesthesia.
