3M E-A-R Classic Earplugs are an economical, reliable choice in hearing protection and conservation. The slow recovery foam used to create these ear plugs, provides a moisture resistant and sound resistant barrier for the ear canal, along with a deeper fit in the ear canal making the 3M E-A-R Classic Earplug one of the most widely used foam earplugs today.
Constructed from slow-recovery foam, the disposable earplug conforms to the shape of the ear canal for premium hearing protection.

- The 3M E-A-R Classic Earplugs set the industry standard for personal safety noise reduction as the worlds first foam earplug. Soft, slow-recovery foam is designed to mold to the shape of the ear canal and provide hearing protection. These disposable earplugs come with or without cords; an optional dispenser box is sold separately. A cylindrical shape is suited to fit most sizes, with a 7% smaller version also available for smaller ear canals and a 20% longer version for larger ear canals.

3M 311-1101 E-A-R Classic Earplugs Instructions for use
- ROLL and compress disposable foam earplugs into a very thin crease-free cylinder.
- REACH around the head to pull the ear outward and upward to help straighten the ear canal. Insert compressed earplug well into the ear canal.
- CHECK FIT after inserting earplug.
- LISTEN to steady loud noise with earplugs in both ears. Cover ears with tightly cupped hands. Noise should sound about the same whether or not ears are covered.
