Avanos Medical UC6.5, 6.5 Fr. Silicone Urinary Drainage Catheter
The NeoMed Urinary catheter kits is intended for use in neonatal and pediatric patients to sample urine and/or facilitate urinary drainage.
This catheter is NOT a Foley (balloon) type catheter.

- Sterile
This catheter is intended for temporary use and will be in contact with the patient for less than 30 days.
Contraindications
- The NEOMED Urinary Drainage Catheter is not intended for individual use longer than 30 days.
- Follow the hospital catheter replacement and maintenance procedures as applicable.
Recommended Procedure
Use aseptic and proper skin preparation techniques.
- Centimeter markings are provided on the catheter to assist in the placement.
- Apply a small amount of water soluble lubricant to the tip of catheter to assist in insertion.
- Insert the catheter slowly and cautiously to the predetermined length.
- Secure the catheter before checking for placement.
- Verify catheter placement either radiographically or by the presence of urine in the catheter.
- When indicated, connect the catheter to a urine collection system.
- Document the procedure according to hospital procedures and/or policies.
