Thin Hydrocolloid
Hydrocolloid dressings help facilitate local wound healing. The dressing absorbs wound exudate and creates a moist environment which supports the bodys healing process and aids in the removal of nonviable tissue from the wound (autolytic debridement), without damaging new tissue.
Our Hydrocolloid dressings consist of a wound contact layer of hydrocolloids. The top layer is a semi-permeable, polyurethane film backing, which allows for circulation of O2 , CO2 and water vapor, while excluding germs and water to protect the wound from external contamination.
- Thin profile design with rounded corners to help reduce dressing roll-up during product use &bull.
- Semi-translucent film backing allows for easier monitoring of the healing process without dressing removal.
Indications
Over the counter (OTC): For minor scalds and burns, minor cuts, lacerations and minor abrasions.
Under supervision of a healthcare professional: : For the protection of at-risk sites of skin breakdown, Stage I pressure ulcers, management of dry to light exuding wounds, post-op protection of closed surgical sites, and post-healing skin protection
Contraindications
Third-degree burns or on individuals who are sensitive to or who have had an allergic reaction to the dressing or its components.
