A whole blood reference control material designed to monitor ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) procedures. Helps to monitor technique as well as environmental, physical and mechanical factors such as room temperature, and tube position, vibration or instrument problems. Sed-Chek 2 is an advanced formula and is the most comprehensive ESR control assayed for both automated and manual methods.
Unique cell-stabilizing process mimics the rouleaux formation of patient samples.

The erythrocyte sedimentation rate test is a variable test where the result can be affected by environmental and procedural factors. Sed-Chek 2, a bi-level whole blood control, was designed for use with manual methods and automated ESR analyzers to monitor ESR procedures. Sed-Chek 2 employs a unique cell stabilizing process which mimics the rouleaux formation of patient samples.
