Mylar reflective backing reflects operating room lighting and insulates sensor from heat created by lamps. Soft, flexible foam with hypoallergenic adhesive allows for easy placement and removal. Thin 36-gauge lead wire provides accurate temperature readings by reducing the potential for ambient air to affect temperature monitoring. Embedded sensor lies flat against patient's skin.
